The web is a particularly competitive environment. The creation and development of websites is a perfect example. With the astronomical number of websites on the web, it is not always easy to find a place. To be profitable, a website must generate significant traffic. The more it will be visited, the more revenue it will generate. It is not always easy to promote a website that has just been launched. Here is an update on the tool that will allow you to make your site more visible to Internet users: SEO.
What is SEO?
SEO is one of the bases for developing the notoriety and visibility of a website. SEO can be defined as the set of techniques aimed at improving the ranking of a site in the search engine results pages. Search engines being the main means that Internet users use to find the information, services and products they need. As a result, good visibility on the various search engines will ensure the generation of significant and regular traffic for the website concerned. The goal of SEO is to ensure that the site appears on the first page of search engine results when a request corresponding to it is made by an Internet user. Indeed, the websites on the first page of results are much more likely to be visited compared to those on the following pages. The search results of the first results pages being the most relevant, Internet users are more likely to click on them and therefore visit the site. SEO has two distinct approaches. Namely: SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEA (Search Engine Advertising).
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is what can be described as “natural referencing”. Indeed, this type of referencing strategy aims to optimize the content of the site (quality of articles, keywords, themes, etc.) so that they correspond to the various criteria on which search engines base themselves to generate results following a specific request, part of the domain corresponding to the site you want to promote. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is therefore free, which is why it is called natural referencing. Because its principle is to make the content of the site as relevant as possible in the eyes of search engines instead of resorting to processes such as advertisements which are often paid for.
SEA (Search Engine Advertising)
The second type of referencing strategy is SEA (Search Engine Advertising). SEA (Search Engine Advertising) is also known as “paid referencing”. This referencing strategy consists of buying predefined queries from sponsored link campaigns with search engines, thus automatically positioning the site concerned on the first page of the results each time an Internet user makes a query corresponding to those that the site has bought. The cost of paid referencing is generally defined by the number of clicks made on sponsored links by Internet users.
